RiskCurrent exists to make systemic stress legible. That only works if we're precise about what the app does, where its numbers come from, and where its limits are.
Philosophy
Clarity over prediction
Most risk tools try to tell you what happens next. RiskCurrent takes a different stance: the more useful and more honest job is to describe the present clearly — where pressure is building, how severe it is, and how the pieces connect.
A good instrument doesn't editorialize. It gives you a faithful reading and shows its work, so you can bring your own judgment to the decision. That discipline is the whole design: consistent staging on the 54 scored metrics, informational context kept clearly separate, and an explicit freshness state on every value.

Where the readings come from
RiskCurrent draws on established public and market data across domains. Data is retrieved through the RiskCurrent backend, and provider credentials remain server-side rather than shipping inside the app.
Economic & financial
Official statistical releases, central-bank data, and market-based measures of conditions and volatility.
Energy, commodities & food
Inventory, production, and price series for energy, industrial metals, and agricultural inputs.
Climate & hazards
Drought and hydrological monitors, hazard indices, and seasonal-anomaly measures.
Geopolitics & conflict
Structured conflict-event and sanctions datasets, plus transit data for key chokepoints.
Your data
Kept on your device
RiskCurrent has no user accounts and no cloud synchronization. Watchlists, settings, readings, snapshots, and alert history are stored locally on your Android device. The current app build does not initialize or display ads, and the website uses a privacy-preserving analytics service — the Privacy Policy covers both in detail.
RiskCurrent can preserve snapshots locally on your device to help explain changes over time. Reports are generated on the device and leave it only when you choose to share them.
